Drawing from Observation

This view from my living room window was completed for the previous project, 'Grids, Layers & Reflections' but it is a great example of what work can be produced if I were to base my ideas for this project on photorealism. Using simple media is a comfort of mine and I find that a pencil or a biro are always close at hand to do any observational drawing whether it being a quick sketch or a piece like the one above which is quite time-consuming.

Recording Ideas

This simple mind-map was created as a way of getting a few ideas down in a written format and to help with the decision I intend to make as to which direction I should take my work in. I also thought about maybe combining Realism and Abstract pieces as both offer a chance to explore new materials and techniques, some of which may suit my style of work better than others.
